Since it was so hot, there was nowhere else we wanted to be than the water. We checked out Hog’s BreathĪnd Smokin’ Tuna. We walked around Duval Street following the sound of live music. It’s a fun tour to do and it is only a 15-minute walk. Our first stop of the day was to Rodriguez Cigar Factory for a tour and the chance to roll our own cigars. We couldn’t wait to get some breakfast, so we headed over to Shor for their Crab Cake Benedict. Ours was incredible!Īfter a wonderful night’s sleep, I decided to do some reading on the beach while my husband made a work call. It looks out towards the marina and they are known for their raw bar towers. It’s a fun spot and had live music.įor dinner we went to Alonzo’s Oyster Bar, a 5-minute walk from the resort. There were plenty of chaise lounges and they provide towels.īefore dinner, we headed to Schooner’s Wharf to grab some beers. So, we headed back to the resort and went right to the pool! The pool is on the smaller side compared to other resorts, but it was fine. We were so hot and felt like it was time to relax. We did a little shopping and walked down to the Southernmost Point, which is only about a 20-minute walk from the resort. A 5-minute walk gets you to Duval Street. The location of the resort can’t be beat. I love that the resort has this area where you can leave a book and take a book! They are so comfortable and we loved them so much that when we passed the Key West Hammock Company, we went in and bought 2 for our lake house. When we walked by this part of the resort, we couldn’t resist relaxing in these fabulous hammocks. The next day we started our day at Keys Coffee Cafecito, where I had a perfect cappuccino. We started our meal with the GRILLED OCTOPUS (Chinese eggplant, house made tzatziki) and a cosmopolitan.įor my meal, I chose the SEAFOOD COCONUT LIME RISOTTO (Shrimp, crab, scallop, gremolata)Īfter dinner, we walked to the pier and enjoyed the relaxing views of the resort and the water. Our lovely table on the porch was such a fun place to watch the thunder and lightning storm that happened during our meal. We were so excited to have dinner at Shor, the gorgeous waterfront restaurant at the resort. We were excited to meet Otis, their gorgeous macaw. The resort has two areas with adorable turtles. We decide to walk around the resort and check it out.

It also has full size shower amenities of BeeKind toiletries, which I love.Īs much as I loved my room, I couldn’t wait to explore the grounds. The resort provides comfortable robes and slippers. It had lots of water pressure, which is rare in rainfall showers. Our bathroom was large and had an amazing rainfall shower. They came in handy after walking around Key West in August! I love that the resort would give us four waters every day. The room had a refrigerator so you can store snacks and beverages. There was a small couch area and some cute chairs around the room. The Wi-Fi worked really well and we never had any problems with it. The room also had blackout curtains, which was very appreciated in the morning. There was a 55” flat-screen tv, a Keurig coffeemaker, and an ironing board and iron. Our room had a comfortable king bed and the pillows were amazing. We loved having our coffee out there every morning. The second, which we used every day, had two chairs and a table. Not only did the room have a balcony, it had two! The first had a chaise lounge and table and had a lovely view of the pier.
